What is NEET, and why the NEET?

NEET, national eligibilty cum entrance test is the most important and viable entrance test for all kinds of medical cources in india. All the in students willing to pursue a career in medicine must take the NEET entrance test to take admission in all kinds of medical courses like MBBS (medicine), BDS (dentistry), BAMS, BHMS, BUMS (ayush).

Conducted by the NTA this single entrance exam determines the admission in both government and private medical colleges across the country.

Minimum marks requirement:

  • General: 50% in PCB
  • OBC/SC/ST: 40% in PCB
  • PWD: 45% in pcb

Age requirement: 17 years as of 31st December 2025 No maximum age limit as per NMC guidelines

Study guide for preparing for NEET UG

  • One-year intensive guide on how to prepare for the entrance

Phase one:

  • Complete your NCERT syllabus of classes 11 and 12
  • word-for-word because 90% of the questions are directly based on
  • Make handwritten, precise notes. Don't try to write everything down. Read the book and take notes on the important topics and easily forgettable ones.
  • Write the notes in clean handwriting for better understanding in the future and easy access.
  • Start solving MCQs, solve at least 100+ MCQs for each chapter for better practice.
